Countertops and Backsplashes

Your countertops serve an important visual role in your kitchen because they cover such a wide surface area, especially if you have a large kitchen island. Whether you are doing a full kitchen remodel or your cabinets are in good shape and you want a new look for your countertops, our designers can help.

We offer a wide range of quartz and laminate countertops, in addition to granite and marble slab options, in many, many styles and colors help give your kitchen the look you want.

We have samples in our showroom of the different materials and colors available and can help guide your selection based on your budget and style of your kitchen. If you’re not familiar with the materials available, these are the most popular:

Countertops

Granite

Strong and durable, granite countertops are typically viewed as a luxury. (Every buyer on HGTV’s House Hunters wants a home with granite countertops.) Because granite is all natural, no two slabs are alike in color and veining. Granite is a porous stone and requires regular sealing to prevent staining.

Marble

Marble countertops are beautiful but tend to be even pricier than granite and more prone to stains and scratches. Because of its expense, marble countertops are often reserved for an accent in a kitchen in a baking area or on an island where they are less subject to cooking mishaps.

Quartz, or Engineered Stone

Frequently used as a less expensive alternative to stone slabs, this material is made of quartz particles and other minerals combined with resin. There are many different colors and styles available, including those that look like granite and marble but don’t have the price or maintenance requirements.

Laminate

Once the staple of countertops in homes, laminate countertops are becoming popular again as an alternative to solid surface or natural stone thanks to the thousands of design options available and their reasonable cost.

Backsplashes

Backsplashes not only protect the walls in your kitchen from overzealous cooking and other kitchen accidents, they provide a frame or extension for your countertop. They add color and interest to your kitchen walls along with a level of protection. Ceramic tile, natural stone, glass tile, and even your countertop material all make excellent backsplashes.

Since the kitchen backsplash often covers the wall between the countertop and the upper cabinets, our designers can help you with styles and materials that will complement those elements and provide the look you want in your kitchen.

Happy Clients

“We did want to send a note and let you know how happy we were working with Kaitlin! We have never designed a project like this before. Kaitlin was very professional and provided us with some great ideas and suggestions for the work we were wanting done. She gave us ideas that we hadn't thought of, as well as giving us many suggestions to help us make the most of our space. And the way she spaced out the cabinets and drawers in the kitchen and bathroom made for a clean and balanced look. She even included some features and additions that we hadn't considered that made for a nicer look and gave us more usable space.

We went into this project picturing the typical "tract home" designs that we were accustomed to. But we truly feel like we have custom, high quality cabinets and flooring that we will be happy with for many years to come, while coordinating with the decor and design of my parent's home that was built over twenty years ago. She did an amazing job of coordinating our space with the existing decor we described, while letting us express our own sense of style. We were very happy with her service and wanted to let you know that she represented your company in a way that any business owner would be proud of.

We live in a world where people seem to complain more than compliment. My husband and I have spent many years working in the customer service industry. We truly appreciate exceptional customer service when we receive it. And I am sure you appreciate hearing that your company has been well represented. Thank you and Kaitlin for all of your assistance on our project! We look forward to seeing the results and in recommending your company to our friends and family in the future! ”
